Children's Chapel
Meets on the 2nd Floor, Bloomfield Wing

Children's Chapel offers a worshipful transition from the nursery to full participation in the regularly scheduled worship services.  It is optional for children ages 3 through third grade and is offered during the most of the 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services (during the 10:00 a.m. service in the summer). The Children’s Chapel service includes the Gospel reading of the day, a reflection, children’s creed, and prayers. Children have opportunities to take leadership roles in the children’s service.  Offering is collected and children decide throughout the year which charities to send support to.  All children rejoin their families during announcements. Children are full members of the church upon Baptism and are welcome to receive the bread and the wine during Holy Communion. If you have any questions about this, please contact our clergy.

  • Godly Play Green meets in Room 201 (near library) For 3 and 4 year olds
  • Godly Play Red meets in Room 204/206 (near library)For K – 1st grades
"Godly Play" is offered for children pre-K through 1st grade on Sunday mornings from 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. during the program year (September through third Sunday in May).  In these specially equipped classrooms, children learn the classic rhythm for living modeled in the Bible: a balance of action and reflection, engagement and prayer. The heart of Godly Play is to create sacred space, to build and work in community, and to learn religious language. For children to be "ready" for Godly Play, they need to be able to leave their parent(s) for 45 minutes. Parents are asked to volunteer one time each semester and to supply snacks.  For more information about this wonderful program go to www.godlyplay.org.
