Youth

The majority of youth events and happenings are designed and chosen by our Youth Ministry Advisory Board, which is composed of twelve (12) youth and three (3) adults.  Additionally, youth are actively involved in many of the children and youth ministries at Church of the Good Shepherd. Their role is to offer leadership to ministries involving children and youth.

  • We encourage growing in Christ by learning and applying principles of our Christian faith and baptismal vows to youth's lives and their age-related challenges and problems.
  • We encourage leadership skills by youth through guidance by youth leaders and providing leadership opportunities in youth and in the larger church activities and ministries.
  • We promote carrying out God's love and transformation to our community and to the world.
  • We encourage and provide opportunities for youth to be the passionate presence of Christ for one another and the world we are called to serve.
  • We ensure youth fellowship with other Christian youth and encourage building a strong youth community at Good Shepherd.
  • We encourage youth leadership and help in planning worship experiences, community and church service, curriculum and course of study, and fun activities.

Youth Christian Formation Classes are Sunday Mornings.

Youth Group is Sundays from 4P-5:30P

In Summer, we have opportunities for youth in Mission Trips, Pilgrimages, Wonderful Wednesdays, Vacation Bible School and more (please see the Youth Classes).
