Goals & Challenges

The following goals and challenges for our parish have been approved by the Vestry and Bishop are are the result of the information collected during the series of Holy Conversations conducted with the parish and staff.

Our Goals:

1. Grow spiritually in worship, Christian education, and prayer and to grow physically with a new parish hall, a new church organ, and an increased budget.

2. Maintain our strong community by building on our foundation of inspiring worship and music rooted in the Anglican tradition.

3. Expand our commitment to ministries within the church and strengthen our service to the local community and beyond, building upon our active participation and celebrating the uniqueness of all parish members.

4. Increase stewardship (time/talent/treasure) to equip our parish to responsibly fulfill our goals.

Our Challenges:

1. Transitioning from a program sized church to a resource/corporate sized parish.

2. Training, empowering, and entrusting a greater number of members for lay leadership in order to meet the needs of our expanding inreach, outreach, and pastoral care programs.

3. Creating opportunities for service and ministry that allow members to effectively utilize their talents and desires.

4. Preserving the traditional liturgy while being receptive to new paths of worship.

5. Developing and generating effective means of communication.

6. Achieving greater understanding and larger participation in all areas of stewardship.
